Dr. Cocoros has been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry for over 30 years! After earning an undergraduate degree at Washington and Jefferson College, Dr. Cocoros obtained a dental degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from Long Island University before completing a general practice residency at the Marine Hospital in Boston with the U.S. Public Health Service. Dr. Cocoros' service with the U.S.P.H.S. continued at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland for six years. In 1984, Dr. Cocoros established this private practice here in Bowie, Maryland.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Cocoros is a published author, gives presentations at local schools on oral health topics, and is an active member in many leading dental organizations, among them the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Southern Maryland Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Society, Maryland Implant Society and the Bowie/Crofton Study Club. As a testament to the practice’s position in the dental community, Dr. Cocoros’ office is the site for lab studies for PG County Community College’s dental assisting course.
When not in the office, Dr. Cocoros enjoys giving back to the community by sponsoring Bowie Youth Hockey and contributing dental services for a local assistance network. Dr. Cocoros also teaches and studies tai chi, practices sport fitness, and enjoys traveling, skiing and dancing.
